New Funding Available for Marine Energy Innovations
The Power at Sea Prize is a new federal funding opportunity that will invest $1.7 million in innovative marine energy technologies in the early stages of development that utilize the power inherent in the ocean.
The program, offered through the US Department of Energy in collaboration with other agencies, will provide funding for two phases (CONCEPT and DEVELOP) to provide recipients with trainings, testing assets and new connections that aim to accelerate the advancement of concepts into working prototypes. The competition is open to individuals, private entities, non-federal governmental entities and academic institutions.
