URI 2024 Food Summit

Climate change impacts food security worldwide. On Jan. 17, 2024 URI will convene government, academic, industry, and community leaders for the eighth annual Rhode Island Food System Summit to discuss innovative food system practices that support environmental stewardship in Rhode Island and beyond. Janet Coit, assistant administrator for fisheries will provide the keynote address and will discuss implementing a national seafood strategy and NOAA’s work to sustainably manage marine fisheries.
